The COO and my manager sat me down an hour ago for a little talk entitled “You aren’t getting fired so stop applying”. Well, yeah… the company’s in crisis right now. Three people from the IT department have already beed sacked but I know my contributions and I’m not afraid. BUT! A very big BUT! I’ve decided to leave the company not because it’s in crisis but because I don’t fit well in the web development environment. I don’t ever wanna program in shitty PHP again and I miss C# and C++ oh so terribly. It would be unethical of me and unfair to the company and myself if I stay here, and I quote the CEO, “half-hearted.” They deserve to have a full-hearted PHP developer under their midst, not me. I’ve made my decisions and I’m just waiting for my applications to start callin’ me. It was nice of them to *kinda* offer me a regular position but it ain’t changing my mind. I have two interviews tomorrow. Wish me luck! :D

UPDATE: The interviews went really great! I’m excited to hear their offers! And I’m also looking forward to land other interviews with the other companies I applied in. Hope they all call soon! One company is about to sweep me away…
